Whew! Must make a note that October is our busy photo month. Y’all were busy this summer (which we knew from managing orders and communications), and we commend the work put in and appreciate all of the photos shared!
Without further ado, let’s dive in…
Bronze
If you’ve been following for awhile now, you might remember us going gaga for a Dutch gate last year featuring (what we refer to as) 360 Yardware Green + bronze hardware. Well, our customer wasn’t done! He finished off his garage doors with Dark Bronze Ring Handles and 17″ Solid Bronze Arch Band Hinges with “self-fabricated hinge pintles (from PVC stock) to compliment and complete the illusion of fully functional hinges by means of your beautiful bronze hinge straps.”
Our next bronze project features stainless steel ball-bearing hinges with a bronze finish to complement a 4″ Bronze Flip Latch on this mixed-material gate:
And then one lovely treat that we don’t often get, but always enjoy, is a sketch from the planning stages, along with photos of the finished project. In this case, an 8″ Square Plate with Lever Latch. Not visible in the photos are the Button Tip Heavy Duty Template Hinges, however we love the close-up on the all-important gate stop!
Don says: “I’m sure your customers will appreciate any finished projects with this hardware. It definitely helped me make a purchasing decision. Yes, it was expensive but I needed hardware that would complement the design of the arts and crafts style gate. I turned out really well as you can see.”
Rings
Next up, a couple of gates featuring the Contemporary Ring Latch in stainless steel with satin black finish.
About the next one, David says “This project was 3 years in the making from design to completion. It replaced a 4-ft tall hog wire fence between the house and garage that was open to the street. There is a 7-ft fence with a double lattice top, split gate, gambrel arbor that tips its hat to the Dutch colonial House with gambrel roof, and for good measure a large lattice enclosure for the backup generator.
I came up with the original design, but all credit must go to my Master Carpenter Justin, who did the joinery and paid attention to all the little details of proportion so that it came out as beautifully as it did.
After all that work it needed hardware worthy of the effort. I had gone through four other gate latches that did not work, either because they were too ornate, too complicated, or so poorly finished. They need to be returned.
Happily digging through the internet, I came upon your company. I fully agree with the motto, Life’s Too Short for Crummy Hardware, so I took a chance and ordered the gate latch.
I am frugal not cheap, so while I found the hardware to be a little expensive, it was totally and completely worth it; excellent quality, just the design I wanted and the result was fantastic.

Next up, another ring, this time in marine grade stainless steel. In addition to the latch, this gate plays off of the post cap with marine grade stainless strap hinges and a heavy duty brutus adjustable tension gate spring.
Nero
And last, though certainly not least, we have our Nero Contemporary Lever Gate Latch, which just blends right into a dark wooden gate.
