There are some similarities (we think!) to stainless steel hardware and fall…crisp, cool and smooth are just a few words that come to mind.
The photo contest this month yielded all stainless steel submissions and we are delighted to share them with you!
First, our Alta Gate Latch, along with 16″ Marine Grade 316 Stainless Steel Heavy Duty Cranked Band Strap Hinges. We love all of those clean (crisp, cool and smooth) horizontal lines! We also appreciate the mortised strike plate and gate stop. Gate stops are included in all of our packages – and for good reason! You can read more about them in this blog post (and parts 2 and 3), but in short, your latch-arm and catch are meant to latch the gate, not stop it. A gate stop will stop it – and will protect your hardware from damage caused by a gate slamming shut (not to mention, keep your warranty valid).
Next up, we go vertical with our Marine Grade Stainless Steel Modern Lockable Slide Bolt on a driveway gate.
The beauty of both of these designs is their ability to be both modern and contemporary; they take nothing away from the craftsmanship of the gate and almost seem made for each unique application.
