Our photo contest submissions for late-summer featured the ever-popular Contemporary Ring Latch from Snug Cottage Hardware on two different gates…
The first – an entry gate in Colorado:
We loved zooming out to see this stunning entrance!
And then, a double gate where we got to see the latching and opposite sides up close. We love how their use of a dummy handle balances out the entry.
Just in case you’re curious about how the Ring Latch works, please take a moment and check out a brief reel we made to document the ease of this very popular latch (you *might* end up with a certain song stuck in your head, and for that we apologize in advance!).
Lastly – since they’re often tricky to see in the photos, but we hate to miss them, gate stops are included in all of our packages – and for good reason! You can read more about them in this blog post (and parts 2 and 3), but in short, your latch-arm and catch are meant to latch the gate, not stop it; a gate stop will – and will protect your hardware from damage caused by a gate slamming shut (not to mention, keep your warranty valid).
Huge thanks to our customers for sharing their finished projects – and congratulations to our randomly-drawn winner who just won a prize!
