We never get tired of seeing photos from our customers as each project – from the location to the application – is so unique!
The winner of our photo drawing this month is our Nero gate latch. It was used on a gate leading to an accessory dwelling unit (ADU) in Berkeley, California.
As well, we loved seeing another California gate – this time with the Alta latch and a marine grade stainless steel cane bolt! Thank you, Grace (check her out: @photos.graced on instagram) – we share your excitement!! And hats off to sculptor Bruce Johnson who created these incredible gates.
This house and these gates are right on the ocean (check out that blue!), and the Alta is an excellent choice for this setup.
One gate element that is critical, but difficult to see in the photos, is the gate stop. Gate stops are included in all of our packages – and for good reason! You can read more about them in this blog post (and parts 2 and 3), but in short, your latch-arm and catch are meant to latch the gate, not stop it; a gate stop will – and will protect your hardware from damage caused by a gate slamming shut (not to mention, keep your warranty valid).
